If you are a fresh graduate or still attend school but have a flexible curriculum and would like to learn from the Masters of Commerce & become a leader fast track, then join our METRO MSC program!

During the 12 or 24 months-long program you will get an on-the-job experience, learn all the bits and pieces from the field, see how your theoretical solutions work in real life and gain priceless knowledge. All this in a fast pace within the field of retail / commerce / FMCG.

What programs do we offer?

Basically, you may choose from three programs based on your primary interest.

The two 24-months long programs are strongly connected to either finance or procurement processes.
The 12-months program is mainly related to store operations.

Whichever program you apply for, please keep in mind that you will be rotated into different positions during the 12 or 24-months-long period.

Detailed description of our programs

Finance Operation Associate (24 months program)

You will deep dive in finance and will conduct the following tasks:

On top of Accounting, Controlling, Pricing, Planning and Analysis, Tax you have the opportunity to learn about Business Intelligence, Supply Chain Management.
You will learn the daily business as usual and you will have the possibility to participate in projects.
Creating reports, analyses and presentations for senior management.
You will strongly co-operate with Offer management and Store Operation to sharpen your business acumen.

We are looking for you if you have:

Fresh Graduate; Master or Bachelor degree in science (economics studies) OR maximum 1-2 years professional experience as an employee.
Fluent Hungarian and at least upper-intermediate knowledge of English language (spoken and written).
Knowledge of user-level MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
Proactive attitude and you have good communication and problem-solving skills.

Offer Management (procurement) Associate (24 months program)

You will deep dive in procurement and will conduct the following tasks:

You will learn the professional way of procurement.
You will enhance your communication and negotiation skills through real assignments.
You will participate in the merchandising processes and learn stock management.
You will strongly co-operate with Store Operation, Finance Operation, Supply Chain Management to sharpen your business acumen.

We are looking for you if you have:

Fresh Graduate; Master or Bachelor degree in science (economics studies) OR maximum 1-2 years professional experience as regular employee.
Fluent Hungarian and at least upper-intermediate knowledge of English language (in spoken and written form as well).
Knowledge of user-level MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
Analytical and structural thinking, and process and system approach.
Proactive attitude and you have good communication and problem-solving skills.

Department Management trainee (Budaörs, but with ad-hoc relocations to countryside stores, 12 months program)

You will deep dive in department management and will conduct the following tasks:

You will learn Store Operations from A to Z.
You will learn the tasks of a Department and Sales Manager.
You will learn about Sales Force and Delivery Platform.
You will have learn all areas of store work with relocation to different stores.

We are looking for you if you have:

Minimum high-school degree OR maximum 1-2 years professional experience as regular employee.
Willingness to travel and mobility.
A driving license and you are an experienced driver.
Knowledge of user-level MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
Fluent Hungarian and minimum upper-intermediate knowledge of English language (spoken and written).
Proactive attitude and you have good communication and problem solving skills.
